Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) continues bringing senior officials from all around the world together with representatives of Bursa business world. BTSO did the honours for Mr. Fikri Işık, Minister of Science and Industry and Technology at the Consultation Meeting held in the Service Building with the broad participation of Bursa business world representatives. Giving a speech in the meeting, Mr. Fikri Işık said that every time he comes to Bursa he gets excited even when its 8th visit.  Stating that the most visited city is Bursa right after Istanbul and Kocaeli, Mr. Işık said "Bursa would not only produce, but also take investors’ breath away. There is an increase in production and excitement it causes in Bursa day by day. One of the reasons of this is the fact that there are industrialists who like working for their city and country. The number of business people identified with their own city is very small when compared to the number of business people in Bursa.

“UNIQUE PROJECTS CARRIED OUT BY BTSO”
Expressing that very important projects have been carried out in Bursa thanks to BTSO and its management staff and so it has created a synergy,  Mr. Işık notified that he appreciated selflessly works of Mr. Munir Karaoğlu, the Governor; Mr. Recep Altepe, the Metropolitan Municipality Mayor  and Mr. İbrahim Burkay, the President of BTSO. Mr. Fahri Işık said “İbrahim Burkay, President of BTSO is a close friend for us and we hold him in high esteem. His projects is admirable and he has an vision and gives his all for his projects. Stating also that they would restructure TUBİTAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, Mr. Fikri Işık said “We would not attach R&D Projects to TUBITAK if the projects could be carried out by private sector.  If necessary, we would get services from the private sector at that point. When we have 500 R&D centres, we do not want to waste time for R&D studies which could be carried out by private sector.

“WE CAN PRODUCE BOTH TANK AND PLANE”
Mr. İbrahim Burkay, President of the Board said that economy of Turkey has expanded almost  4% in 2015 despite many difficulties occured. Mr. Burkay said “This growth represents more than twice of total EU growth. I would like to thank the industrialists who have created this picture that many countries have watched envyingly. We do not want to be part of the game which has been planned by others. Turkey makes great efforts to create its own game in all areas. I would like to point out that national production and technology are very important in this game. In Bursa, where we show our willingness to produce domestic automobiles, we are not just moving process of automotive, also aircraft production will start in Bursa. Companies in Bursa could make both aircraft and tank, and I hope they could also produce domestic automobiles. Just believe in power of our private sector. In this sense, we should identify the needs of partners correctly and make accurate diagnoses.
